If you find a full tub length 'frameless' YJ top that doesn't require door upper hoops to be permanently mounted, let me know.

For your question, not sure what you expect to hear. If your home made cage does not replicate the exact curve/position of the OEM Family Bar, it won't fit right.

You could always make your own top. Not finding what I wanted I sewed up a half/cab top myself, used official Bestop material and window plastic from a local soft top maker company (they do tops for Model T's and such).

Look at the mfg's web sites. They might have videos, or maybe YouTube, showing install, etc..

It'll mount to your tub whe your hard top attaches, the roll bar replaces the bows of traditional style soft tops. What kind of pictures are you looking for? I'll see if I can run outside a little later and snap some for you.

I never checked back after posting that lol, sorry. My softopper just rests against the bars like a safari/bikini op as you mentioned.

Not the most detailed picture, but I hope it helps. You can see how the roll bar becomes the support for the top because it just drapes over the bars.
