Check out my avatar. I made a plate out of 1/8 SS sheet metal and attached it to the bumper with two counter sunk SS screws.

I guess you can't see it very well with the snow I will find a better pic.

Awesome thanks I was thinking of L shaped brackets like for shelving and placing them inside the bumper on top of the plastic jeep logo thingy but I don't know how well that'll hold

The L bracket thing would probably work better than the stock method of having it hang down below the bumber where it can get ripped off by snow drifted or folded under by any number of things.

If you have a winch with a roller fairlead, you can use a set of D-Cell Mag Lite holders for about $5. They snap over the rollers and then the plate can be bolted to the Mag holders.

This is what I did with a Rugged Ridge front bumper. In Ohio we're required front and rear plates too.

What I did here was simple. Put the plate on the bumper where you want it. Use the holes in your plates as guides. Drill 2 holes. You'll need 2 bolts, 6 nuts, and some washers. You can see in this pic how I used 2 nuts to space the plate off the bumper to avoid vibrations.

This photo is underneath and behind the bumper. I used 2 large washers back here.

This cost me nothing. I just used crap I had in my garage and took all but 10 minutes.
