Fuel pump issues

Hello
Specs-93 YJ I4 Manual
Last night after driving around for a while I parked for 15-20 min. When I went to start it I didn't hear my fuel pump kick over behind me and I was at a ~200 rpm idle before it died. More start attempts yielded a few kicks but no start. I got a friend to tow me home with a toe strap with no power steering/brakes... That was fun. I was not able to pull any abnormal codes.

Went to try and start her up this morning and I heard the fuel pump go and she fired right up. Either an Easter miracle or something is up with my pump.

My question is are these signs of a failing fuel pump or something else?

Thanks

Fuel pump relay?

Corrosion on the contacts can make for some nasty electrical gremlins.

My 94 did the smething. I foundthere is a relay to the right of the battery on the firewall. I removed it cleand the socket and put a new relay in and the problem went away.

check that relay also there is time where the pump works but gets hot and trips a thermal overload and wont run.. seen it happen when you pull your hair out usually just needs replaced at that point.

I went ahead and replaced the fuel pump yesterday along with cleaning the relay connectors. Man it's a pita to get that tank back up in there. She fired right up though with a smooth idle and I have not noticed any issues so far but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Anyone happen to know the original manufacturer of the stock fuel pump? The one that was in there before was a Carter.
