Fuel sending unit connectors

Hey guys! I am in need of an explanation of how to get this yellow wire to fit into this connector. I can get it to fit but I dont know how to get it to stay in... any ideas?

remove the pin and try to reuse it or track down a new one. YJ's seemed to have used connectors that are not made anymore you may have to find a used one from a junkyard and splice it.

Is that the same connector as the coolant temperature sensor?

If anything, I would buy a matching set of connectors and solder them to the existing wires. I had my coolant temp connector making intermittent connection and it was not cool(pun), I would not want my fuel sending unit having ussues.

JonStevens recommends cutting the old plug ends off and buying a matching set of connectors. I agree.
I recommend Deutsch connectors (Google Deutsch.)
They're waterproof and I've never had an issue with them. They're available online or at a Harley Davidson dealer.
H-D might be using Molex connectors now. I haven't ever used them though.

Good Luck, L.M.
