Gear shift indicator pointer

I'm looking for a gear shift indicator POINTER for my 95 YJ. Don't know where it went, when it fell off, etc. Don't want to buy the whole neck for a silly (red line on a wire) pointer but also don't want my kids to drive without it. Contact me, need it fast!

Why not take the steering column apart and look for it? The pointer couldn't have gone far. Most likely it's still inside the collar.

Let us know what you find.

Good Luck, L.M.

Are you talking about that little yellow light on the dash that turns on to tell you when to shift at a certain RPM that'll give you the best fuel economy? I hate that little PoS

No, he's talking about the orange line on the PRNDL

Its spring loaded and tied to the shifter collar with a wire and clip.

The clip can pop loose and cause that spring to retract the pointer full left out of sight
