So I started with a YJ. Although a great jeep mine was a little ruff and a bit to more a project than I wanted to do. Loved it. Love leaf springs, love no trac bars or dealing with any of that. I Am a truck person so love ruff bouncy rides and again leaf springs for that reason of strength and durability. I recently got an awesome awesome deal on a TJ. Went for it and YJ is gone. This TJ has a ton of big dollar parts on it, and although perfect for me. 6 cyl 5 speed. 111K miles. 4" RC lift JKS parts all over it. Dana 44 with track lok. Dynatrac axle shafts. Super 30 front axle with shafts. 4.56 gears all around. Tom Woods shafts f/r. 33's all that. Workin on fixing rear shocks now. And need to convert steering setup back to stock style. They went with a big dollar kit that is useless for it. Anyway once thats done I think I realy like it. however....friend of mine has a real nice YJ. 94. 6" lift 35's 4.56's as well. 30/35 however does have chromoly shafts adn a detroit locker limited slip rear. Woods d/shaft w/ sye. Has a super clean inside with ncie seats front and back. All working. 140K miles roughly maybe more. Drives it daily and likes it but wants a change and thinking TJ (maybe I started it). And now I sort of want it! I do mild offroading but I guess the 35 dana rear will hold up to all I do. Least it has good shafts and the detroit.

Idk what to do. Im gonna have him look at mine soon and I guess make decision. Joe, I know your a member here so probably reading this. NO COMMENTS haha from you. Lets here the people speak. I know ya'll are YJ'ers so probably already know what im goin to hear.

I'm not a fan of TJs so I would definitely take the YJ.

Well, I can see why it's a tough decision! Which one can you not keep your eyes off of? The one that gives you that flutter and excited feeling? Go with that one! The honest benefit to the TJ is it's newer....but man that's a hot YJ! If the prices were the nearly the same, the TJ would win... but if you would save some decent $$ and have the YJ....well.....ya know!
