Guard for Smittybuilt bumper

Have a Smittybuilt STC front bumper. Today I had to push a stranded truck off the roadway. In doing so I noticed the fro t edge of my bumper guard was marking up the rear of his truck. Is there a rubber attachment I can add to the steel tube to protect the other vehicle?

I dont believe that there is anything aftermarket that is designed to "rubberize" the steel tube. That bumper isnt designed to be a push bar, so therefore why use it as one.

You could make one? Try something multi-layers of plasti-dip. I know, I know that is the latest fad but i think it might work. The other option might be to get a long piece of straight radiator hose in the right size and cut, split it, and hose clamp it to the bumper? Might not have the look you want, but it would work.

Also, do u mean you have the Smittybuilt SRC bumper? If so, how do you like it? I'm looking at getting one and I would be interested in your opinion on this? Thank you!

I have an SRC front bumper and it looks great. Just keep in mind it jets out further and you can't see it unless you have lights mounted on it like I do.

So does it have light tabs there? I see lots of these bumpers with lights mounted there. I think i could make some clamp light mounts to mount some lights farther out like the factory fog placement? I like lots of light!

Yes it has 4 tabs, 2 on the top where my lights are and 2 lower on the sides where the opening is.
