Hard top color match

I just bought a used hard top, spice color. I’m looking at getting new Bestop uppers doors. Does anyone know of a rattle can paint that comes close to matching the Bestop spice color? Thanks in advance

I've heard the rustoleum satin nutmeg is a decent match. Never tried myself though

I believe the spice color code is LTB

I used the PPG codes to take care of some interior blemishes and I was very happy with the results, however it can get pretty expensive to get factory paint.

Obviously the page below is for interior, I don’t have the exterior saved anywhere unfortunately to check, but the auto body shop will have books like these.

In all honesty, a hardtop is a large area to prep and get a smooth even paint job out of rattle cans.
I would take it to a body shop so that they can color match and prep the top properly. So you end up with a quality paint job that will last for years.

Dupont color code for spice wrangler hardtops is C9253.

What y'all are failing to recognize is the OP wants to match the color of the Bestop soft uppers not the paint code of the OEM hardtop which is already spice colored.

Why wouldn’t he just buy spice uppers then, I figured the hard top was faded and he wanted the best color match for the new upper doors he was looking to purchase.

Hmm...

From what I conclude is that his concern is the spice soft uppers won't match the spice hardtop..... I think it will be just fine myself, order the uppers then see if anything needs to be done.

Online paint places like paintscratch.com and most auto body paint supply shops can do a rattle can to any factory color. I the local paint supply shop (Elmira Auto Paint) do a rattle can in Spice for me when I was painting my hardtop.

The hardtop I painted with Spice from an online paint place (got a quart and sprayed it), and when I was doing to roll-up side panels I painted the c-pillars in this photo with the rattle can Elmira Auto Paint made up for me. They match perfectly.

Also clear-coated the c-pillars with a matte 2k clear coat in a rattle can, auto body paint shops should have that too.

BTW got a perfect match with both paints to the Spice fabric I used when I sewed the soft sides...

Yeah I suppose it can be interpreted both ways

If that's the case most professional auto paint suppliers will have a scanner that can scan the fabric and come up with a formula to mix paint that will match. 've had my local paint supplier scan parts to generate paint formulas for me for other projects and it's worked out well.
