"Hardtop Part" Question? What is this thing and where do I get it?

I am looking for the piece that goes on the inside of the rear hatch on my hardtop. This white plastic piece covers up the cables. I am piecing the whole rear hatch apparatus back together and that's one of the only things I need! Anyone have any leads or know where I can get one?

Oh - also looking for the pieces that the latches (controlled by the cables) go in and out of. The dealerships/distributors don't stock any of this stuff any more!

i just threw all that stuff away. you can go with out that cover, mine was all dry rotted and broke off along time ago. i don't think i have the latches anymore but i can look. my handle rusted inside where it passes through the top so i made my rear hatch like a newer one where the tail gate holds its closed instead of those catches

I would check with any jeep junkyard. The glas breaks on the rear all the time on those so they usually have extra pieces. You might check Jeeps Unlimited in Colorado. Home

Thanks for the feedback - I have been stalking most of the wrecking yards in Oregon looking for Wranglers but they are hard to get your hands on.

I tried Quadratech but no luck, guess I will look up 4wd and see if they have anything? Not sure I have heard of em...

The latch I bought was used - I could go without it but I would like to find all of the parts to the hardtop while I can - I have a feeling everything for my Jeep will just be harder to come by. My t handle was also all rotted out so I replaced it and the cables.

Thanks busemans! If you have the parts I need for latching, I will buy/trade with you. Let me know what you find!
