HELP. My Jeep has 31's, and the spare doesn't match, but my mechanic said it's fine.

Can I really drive with that spare if I blow a flat on one of my 31's?

is the spare not the same size? Or by not matching do you mean not the same brand but still the same size

You wouldn't want to put your truck in 4 thats for sure. I wouldn't do it either way.

As long as you dont engage 4wd you'll be fine.

BUT...use the spare tire as a spare tire. Dont keep it on there driving around all over the place. Get a new tire or the damaged one fixed, and put the spare back on the tailgate.

"KBR97" is correct. Your spare tire is there to get you "off" the trail - not necessarily drive you home on the Hwy.
