High School YJ Build

Hey guys, I'm new here and thought I would post my build up.
Bought my first Wrangler a couple months ago for some summer fun and rock crawling, I've built two Cherokee rock crawlers and a Mustang so going for something new.

It's a 1988, four cylinder five speed, had a lot of rust but have fixed most of it so far, the frame is out of a 1990 and is rust free.
It has a 2 inch body lift, 2.5 inch rough country (maybe tough country? its very stiff) lift kit with 31x10.5x15 black steel wheels

Future Mods:
33's maybe 35's
Ford 8.8 rear (in the making)
dana 44 front
remove lift springs and do SOA
rock sliders
front and rear bumpers
lock right lockers
etc.

QUESTION!! How do you guys think 33's will fit? should I go for 35's and do SOA?
What gearing would be best for the bigger tires? An engine swap is in the plan but not for quite a while (expensive!) 4.88? 5.13? or even lower?

A few pictures of when I bought it (2500, sold top and doors for 900)

Cut out the old rust, cut new pieces out of sheet metal and welded it in
Took the padding off and painted it black, bedlined the interior

Ford 8.8 Build up

Set up a deal with a large salvage yard to get 1995+ ford 8.8's out of Explorers for $50 a piece

The plan:
Remove brake lines, calipers and rotors
Use cut off torch to remove spring perches
Sandblast rear end
Set up and weld new perches for YJ SOA
Weld diff tubes to center piece
Weld shock mounts higher up on tube for more clearance
Spray axle with black enamel
Install Solid differential cover
Install painted calipers, turned rotors, and new pads
Put one in my Jeep one in my dads and then start selling them

This is a work in progress, with gear change swaps in the future!
Will hopefully be done within a week!

First got them

Cut off perches with cutoff wheel (will be using torch next time!)

Before sandblasting (will do sooner next time) notice the axle stand with caster I built, nice!!

Calipers after sanding and painting

If you guys have suggestions on the Jeep, the axles, gear setup, tires, or anything post em up!

How funny. I just checked out your ad on craigslist for the extra rocker panels. I'm enjoying your pics and upgrades. Keep up the pics!

Haha thanks guys, I also posted my current tires and wheels to trade for a 17 wheel but I know there's not many out there does anyone know where I can get some cheap 17 wheels? I really love the tires I think they look awesome so I'd like to keep them and buy some wheels then sell my current tires and wheels

thanks everyone, hope it turns out good, a paint job is in the plans too I hate the mismatched paint where I had to weld new pieces in, and some deep scratches

welded the spring perches and shock mounts on today (ok, tacked them in place then took them to a certified welder)

the yoke adapter also came today

That's really cool man! I hope you stay with wrenching for fun. By the time your in your late 20's you will be able to do just about anything. I wish I woulda had an interest in wrenching when I was in HS...I didn't start until I was 20 I think.
