how far can i go

I got a 92, lifted on 33's. 3.07 gears. 5 speed. 4.0.
This Jeep is new to me and the gas gauge is broken.
How many mile can I go before I'm walking?

If you're averaging 14 MPG and you have the 15 gallon tank then you can probably expect about 200 to 210 miles if you keep your foot out of it and drive like Granny.

Anywhere from 170-200 miles would be average. What do you mean by "broken"?

Sounds like a bad ground. Remove the gauge and break out some 800-1000 grit sand paper and clean off ALL of the contacts, might want to go through and do all of your gauges as well.

Should work fine after that.

Xpress, mine is stuck at a 1/4 tank and once in a while (with a tankfull) it will move to the full mark but back to 1/4 tank within 5 to 10 seconds. Once the fuel on the tank reaches 1/4 it will gradually start going down to the empty mark. Any idea why??? Thanks

Bad contacts on the gauge itself can cause all kinds of bad readings.
