How long can i last with no rear shocks?

My rear upper shock mount was so rusty when i put on my lift kit that the strength of the new shocks instantly snapped the mount off from the frame...i had a buddy weld a improvised mount on for me and its lasted for about 6 months, but last night it broke...so i took off both rear shocks because i didnt wanna have my back right with a shock and my back left without one....How long can i or should i ride with no shocks? How will this affect my leafs?

Not long. You are going to make the leaf spring do more work than they were intended to. I would fix ASAP. Then again if you think about it they put them there for a reason. Shocks are made to help the tire stay on the ground. MO

You will bend a leaf faster than most would expect.
