How many miles can i get out of a 2.5l

How many miles can i squeeze out of a 2.5l jeep wrangler motor, it has 211,000 new trans, 1 owner and properly and regularly maintained and serviced. how many miles can these engines go or have any of you seen them go. that is if i still keep up on the maintenance. the motor still runs and drives beautifully and no issues. starts right up.

r u unmodded? running stock? probably as long as you treat it kindly. mall krawling, or rock krawling?too many variables to say it will last: blah, blah amount of time.

mine: 95' YJ-4"lift (Skyjacker) 2" body lift. chevy 350/th400/np241 swap. herculined interior, boat drain plugs for floor. TJ hood. 33" MTR. Up next: bigger axles.

2.5 will normally last forever but every engine is different so it hard to tell. 2.5's do have a good reputation.

I have a 94 with the 2.5, 205+K on it, original transmission and only complaint was it had low compression, while it ran. But..that's fixable, probably head gasket or something. And the not running is just due to the computer, not the engine itself. Beyond that, ran great. The engine actually runs extremely smoothely, for as old as it is.

I had the one in my 88 YJ make it until 189k. I here these engines have a great design and un-abused easily make it to 200k. It is like anything else environment has such a large impact on the final result of the experiment.

it depends on how far it is to 7-11 and how many trips you make.
