Paint and bedliner is always a nice cheap choice and gives you a pretty good look, im working on changing the dash lights to some bright leds.

Im going to bedline, than black bedline my dash (its current stock paint is wearing off), then I will put bright white LED (PLUG AND PLAY LED'S). Replace the pedals and Shifter knobs with something a tad more tough looking. New seats, and new rollbar

Xpress did you get those from superbrightleds.com? If so what part number are they and how many do you need for the dash? Thanks

These are for the 4 guage cluster with the clocks. I did not do my speedometer and stuff yet.

Let us know about those courtesy lights because those a sweet.

Yes they are infact. The under dash floor lights are a custom build using 4 red and 1 yellow Piranha LED's. The dash lights are WLED-x5. I actually recommend WLED-x5 for the center gauges (you will need 6 for the first gen 1987-1990 YJ's) and then WLED-xHP9-T for the Speedometer and Tachometer (you will need 2 each for the first gen 1987-1990 YJ's). 10 total, don't know how many you'll need for the newer 1991-1995 YJ's as they use different gauges and whatnot.

What do you want to know about LED's? You have to be specific.

It's pretty simple to do, you just have to pull the plastic face plate. The center bezel is held on by 6 screws, and the drivers size bezels are held on by 6 screws (or at least they were from the factory). Remove those screws and the bezels will pop off.

From there it's pretty much straightforward. Unscrew the center gauge cluster, there should also be 6 screws holding it in place. On the back you will find the sockets that hold the lights, they just twist lock into place. Remove the sockets by untwisting and you will reveal the bulbs. The easiest way I've found to brighten the bulbs up is to pull off the dumb blue rubber cover. It dims the bulb, so that's an easy fix right there.

All you have to do to swap the bulb out is to pull it straight out and push the new LED bulb in place. There is 6 bulbs on the center gauge cluster (1987-1990 YJ, 1991-1995 YJ's have a different bulb count I believe).

The speedometer and tachometer are also easy, they are held in place by 2 screws each. The bulb sockets on the back just pop out. Re-assemble everything in the reverse order.

Yes very eaasy. Swapped all my gauge lights the other day with blue LEDs from superbright. I used 6 bulbs I believe. Cost me 12 dollars and only took an hour to do all of them start to finish and that included an in depth cleaning of all the plastic and lenses from the 20 years of dust and grime buildup

one of the things i did to my jeep was went through and secured everything i could. speakers and tools and go boxes are all bolted/strapped down, this is great for wheeling and also helps make things less easy to walk away from an open environment. also attached mini d rings to have as anchor points for my stuff. very cheap and very useful!

For anyone who has same questions as me:

I ordered 6 194x5 Red for the tach, speedo, and center gauges. And one 194x5 natural white for the 4WD indicator. The x5 is 220 degree spread vs the 35 degree spread with the x6. Both have same lumens. Through research I found the 35 degree does not produce an even light, especially on the tach and speedo.

I was planning on doing this in the next week or two. How are you guys getting these prices? Like $20 bucks? I was going to order 7 leds that have a 360° beam and its coming out to like $75.

Don't get the 360. No need. Get the 194x5. It's 220 angle. More than enough. And they are between 2-5 bucks depending on color.
