jeep rookie......

....VERY new to this whole jeep thing...I have wanted one all of my life, and now....I are one!!...lol....I do need some help if someone can please...I got a heckuva steal on my 94 YJ, it only needed front leaf springs and a t. case, bought new springs and installed them, now at least I can ride around the yard...lol...long story I know..but super stoked about my toy!!...now, how do I determine which t. case I need?... I have the tag, it's a NP 231J, but there seems to be some confusion about whether its a 21 or 23 spline shaft. I haven't pulled it out yet....enjoying riding the kids around the yard first...lol...any help would GREATLY be appreciated!!.. thanks in advance.....

I would keep an eye on craigslist for something being parted out. 87-95 should work...
