JK wheels on my YJ

I know this has probably been discussed but I can't find a thread. My YJ has a 5x114.3 or 5x4.75 bolt pattern and the JK has a 5x127 or 5x5 bolt pattern. I keep seeing great deals on stock JK wheels and tires. I can get a set of 5 with 80% for $225. I need a set for a 89 I bought Sunday. Does anybody have a link to some cheap adapters. I am trying to stay as cheap as I can! Thanks

Just so ya know, your stock bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5 (114.3 / 25.4 = 4.5) I didn't want ya to wind up getting the wrong size adaptors if you wind up going this route. I am curious about putting jk wheels on a yj though, I might have to do a little research if I get time. Anybody know what the backspacing is on a jk wheel?

Thanks, I had it wrote down wrong. If I thought about it I would have realized it should have been 5x4.5. I did find these but at almost $50 each it makes it too much. http://adaptitusa.com/5x115to5x500wheeladapter.aspx
or these a little cheaper! http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Ada...5450-5500d.htm

Spider trax are 90 for 2 adapters not a complete set! I got all 4 rough country for under 120 and they look great and I've had the. Double and triple checked at the shop I had put them on... Nice and snug no problems!

Rough Country.com I think.. They are very nice. I called to get a forum discount, might have been 10%, but more likely only 5%.... Its been a couple of months and I don't remember exactly, I ordered a whole bunch of stuff then....

Thanks

That explains it - I saw them there for 59 but could not find that 116 for 2 sets deal must be your forum discount. I'll call them...

you guys talking about "bolt pattern adapters" or just spacers ?

Hey McQade and Inferno girl - are you guys talking about "bolt pattern adapters" or just spacers ?
I just called roughcountry off their website and he says they do not carry adapters just spacers.
I need to go from 4.5" to 5" bolt spacing to put these 2008 JK wheels onto my 2005 TJ

Yeah these are technically adapters with the same bolt pattern on each end though... Adapters have lug bolts and nuts spacers are more like a large washer that will actually shorten the length of your lug bolt... But I do not know if rough country has 4.5 on one side and 5 on the other I guess if they said no then they don't... Sorry

Yea be careful some are same bolt pattern to same bolt pattern but 1.25" thick. Mine on ebay is a 4 piece 5x4.5 to 5x5 1.25" hub centric for $149 with 1/2'x20 lugnuts and studs. I got them in about 4 days.

I just wanted to get a quick look so I bolted on the adapter and just sat a wheel on for a look. It's still sitting up in the air in the front. The front is the 18" JK wheel the rear is stock 15". I think I need a lift!

Been very busy with 2 new jobs! I'm going to bolt them up today. I have a feeling they will rub without a lift. Tires are 32" tall.
