Just another ammo can...

Hey all!

I took out my Rampage console yesterday and worked on an ammo can conversion. I went with the 'Fat 50'. I was going to use the 20mm, but it's just too tall for my tastes. I still need to get a pad for it though.

Cup holders are essential, so I went about it a bit differently than most. We were out for 4 hours today and they work GREAT! Pics coming...

Curious what you came up with for drink holders? Iíve been needing that for years and still donít have any! Itís on the to do list for sure!

My solution would only work for automatics on the column (like mine). These definitely wouldn't work for sticks!

I used 3" black PVC (couplings and 3"-2" reducers). A u-clamp holds the rear one on and a 10" steel brace holds each of the fronts.

Iím assuming they stick way out there so you can open the console? I may come up with something in a different location. Havenít really brainstormed it yet.

Very nicely done, necessity is the mother of all invention and your right, hard to get by without cup holders. Ram mounts makes a nice one and you can also get a magnetic base to set it where you want it. But I really like your set up. I also like the looks of the seat covers, who makes them.

I mocked them up further back, but I knew I would have skinless knuckles after a few uses, haha.

The seat covers are from Rugged Ridge. They're not bad. No real problems other than typical seat cover complaints. I picked them up from the jungle, though they were cheaper when I bought them...

Nice work looks good and a very simple solution. Did you attach the front cup holders together or are they independent of each other?

For now, they are not connected. I say 'for now', because I'm thinking shoving something between them to get a little separation, lol. Thing is though, they're at the perfect position right now. If I space them out, the driver's side will be hitting my leg and interfering with my man-spreading! Can't have that!!

Thanks!
