There is a good thread in the yj tech forum. It's pretty easy and cheap.

IIRC they are 194s. I'll find the thread when I get home. 10 bulbs six in the cluster and four for the speedo and tach. 30 minute job.

Just put the bulbs in my 87 yesterday and went to turn them on and none of them work. I know I bought the right bulbs. I had the dash lights on while replacing them so I could check to see if they worked. I noticed a few of them came on for a second but as soon as I locked them in place they would go off. Any help would be appreciated??

the connection on the circuit board is bad on the ones that turned off when locked into place, The other bulbs could be installed backwards flip the bulb around and they should turn on. ( I had that Issue with a few of mine )
