Light duty Homemade PVC Roof basket...

Has anybody made a light duty PVC pipe roof basket for their rig and is willing to post a pic or two?

Lots of guys make them out of steel with supports to hold them above the top, but I'm thinking a $50 project. I envision the top off and it ratchet strapped tight to the roll bars. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has had these thoughts. You know someting to toss the tent, sleeping bags, beach stuff or any other light gear in for a day trip.

Nobody?

Should I take the words "light duty" out to attract more interest?

If you want it light duty why not just use pipe and pipe fittings... Pvc I feel like is a little too light duty haha but it depends on what you plan on using it for.

I envisioned something I could hang on the wall in the garage, toss up there by myself and attach quickly when needed. Just something for day trips when you need the back seat for humans but still have a couple of duffle bags to put somewhere. I have no delusions of being able to toss a tire, cooler or anything substantial up there. Along your line of thinking, conduit might be a possibility as well.

Anyone build one out of conduit?
