Locking Storage

I am looking to add locking storage of some type to my 91. I like the thought of the underhood lock box for tools and wheel lock keys. Does anyone have any pictures or links to sites with locking glove box, underhood boxes, or other locking storage for under $100?

Wheel locks don't deter a determined thief it takes very little extra work to remove them. But for an uneducated wheel thief they say screw it and find the next set without locks and take those because they don't want the hassel of dealing with those locks. I run one on my spare just because its an easy steal being off the ground already lol.

locks

I like the smitty built center consol. That is a great price too. I will definately check that out. Let me know how easy it is to install and if it comes with all the proper brackets and hardware to mount it. Regarding the wheel locks I have splines not lug nuts on every lug, especially the spare. If they can get to the tool or just have one on hand it would be easy to get to this. That is why I want the key locked up somewhere. Also want my tools to be able to be locked up somewhere.

its still not hard to get those off, but i agree having the key locked up is a good thing. i lock mine in my glove box as the lid to my center console is gone. i actually have a full set of those splined ones laying around somewhere.

Here is what I have so far. I found a small gun vault at my local sporting goods store that is perfect ($25). I mounted it under my rear seat so I have access to it when changing the tires. Also put a cable lock on the bumper jack and threw the key to that as well as the wheel lock in the safe. This will be a good place to store the radio cover when I get a new system also. Very happy with this simple solution. Now to find a place for my tools??? Thinking Ammo Cans on the top of the fenders.

I have this console, and I love it. Plenty of room for storage, plus a place to put your radio or cb, and a latch to lock it all in. As far as mounting, it has screws that go through the bottom of the box, and through the floor of the Jeep. I keep small tools and gloves in the storage part. I chose to put my radio in the slot for easier and more controlled access while bouncing down the road.
