I installed Rough Country 2" add-a-leafs to my 89 YJ and I have no complaints. I had to modify the brake line on the rear to ensure some flexibility in the line. And, I had to add some 6 deg axle shims as to re-align the drive train. My shocks in the rear had to be replaced, because at full droop, I needed about an 1" to 2" on the shock extension. So, I installed some Rancho RS5000's. I also removed the trac bars - front and rear.

With the add-a-leafs and some Roxolid shackles I installed a few weeks before, I have about 3.5 inches of lift, that when it settles will probably net about 3".

Add-a-leafs from the Rough Country eBay store were $95 for four. The Roxolid shackles were $65 for front and back. Add in the unexpected shims for $35 and the shocks for $100 - total cost about $290.

No major change in the ride and the I ended up with a bit more lift than I expected.

Now I need my tires, and then I can put em to the test.

they limit your flex I installed one because of too much axle rap and it was low in the ass end, but I lost ATLEAST 5 inches of UP travel, so now its coming out
