Mirrors

With the soft top on my passenger side mirror is useless. I tow my mini camper and Id like to be able to see down the side anyone have recommendations on nice looking mirrors that would work? If the arms were longer on these they would be great.

They have been relocated to the windshield frame... move em back to the doors and they'll likely work better for you

How wide is your Jeep?
How wide is your camper?

The mirrors have to be wider than the camper at the inside edge of the mirror in order to be able to see the side of your camper.

For example if the camper is 7 feet wide, the inside edge of the mirror has to be 3 1/2 feet from the centerline of the Jeep in order to see down the side of the camper. Once you have the width of your Jeep and the width of your camper, do the math and find an appropriate mirror.

I have CJ styled mirrors that bolt to my windshield hinges. I look at the passenger side mirror through the windshield. It takes a bit of getting used to, but after 4 years, I don't even notice it.

Good Luck, L.M.

Jeep is wider than trailer, that's not the problem. I think Gottagofast has it. I guess I need the mounts that go on the doors and then do something with the mount on the window hinge. I know if I leave it with out the mirror mounted there it will drive me nuts. LOL

Can I buy just the brackets? I'll make a trip over to the U Pull, we have a YJ in there, but I think the doors are gone.

Once you get them on the doors, if you still need em wider you could pick up a thick black cutting board and cut out some spacers to move em out wider w longer bolts of course...

If I move them to the doors I think I'll be good. We also pull it with my wife's '17 Cherokee and can see down both sides with the stock mirrors.

Quadratec has single mirrors for $45.00 that appear to mount to the upper hinge.

Good Luck, L.M.

If these are the mirrors you're referring to DON'T!
I just put them on yesterday. I really didn't care about vibration going down the road, I just wanted something to assist me backing up, 'specially at night.
After I got them mounted, I fired up the Jeep to move it. Hell, they vibrate so badly you can't even see out of them at an idle!!!
Almost completely worthless. Why "almost" you might ask? Well because they're black and they look nice.

The mirror I found looks like OPs current mirror, except that it bolts to the door side, flat part of the hinge.

Good Luck, L.M.
