Missing my Jeep

Ridiculous, but thought that I would air my woes here since many of you have had your rigs down for multiple weeks due to upgrades gone awry.

My current upgrade is a ford 8.8/SYE upgrade. I put the 3.5" BDS lift on a year ago and now needed to finally get the 33" tires on and shed the stock little bastards.

The SYE was used and whoever had it before didn't have the oil return properly set, so the speedo gears were melted. The 8.8 was missing the driveshaft yoke bolts. The driveshaft from Tom Woods took a week to get here. The shop where I'm doing my work has no 220 outlet and none of my welder friends know anything about pinion angles, Sonoma gonna tow it to a local offroading shop to weld the axle.

Needless to say, it's taken 4 times as long and is twice as expensive as I originally thought... Spring has arrived at Richmond, va and there have been about a dozen days do far that just scream for me to be driving with the soft top down... :/

And there were 4 other projects I wanted to get done at the same time! Lol...

It sucks for sure. I hate having mine down for projects. Love to drive it rain or shine...
You'll get it back and it'll be better than ever!

I just went through that with mine in the shop for a little over 2 weeks. The remorse hit hard on the first sunny day. It was a great day when I finally got to turn in my rental and bring my boy home. That day will be here for you soon. Hang in there.
