Modify clutch pedal

I've only had my jeep for a few months, and I find myself hitting the brake pedal occasionally while shifting. I've got big feet (15) and even bigger in boots. I was thinking of trying to modify the clutch pedal to move it away from the brake. Anybody tried/seen this. Seems simple enough, but wanted to ask first.

I am sure if you have the skill it could be offset enough to keep your feet on the right peddle.

You may be able to add a little length and do the offset all in the same spot. Just have to match the material up close.

I have this problem when I switch from driving my jeep to my car, which is an automatic. My foot seems to still want to hit the "clutch." I would think that you might be able to fab a pedal overlay or extension that extends the foot pad more to the left to keep your foot further away from the brake pedal, I would think that would be easier than moving it. If you make it the same size as a brake pedal on an auto trans, you might even be able to find a rubber cover to fit it.

That's what I was thinking. I might hit the junk yard and try to find a break pedal.

I think that's a common mistake, CindiB just said she has, and I know I have back in High School when I'd borrow my Mom's 66 Galaxy for a date.

It was the only thing around with an auto trans.
