My YJ

Well I am officially leaving the world of "Square Eye's". 3 weeks ago my '89 caught on fire and was totaled. So after the insurance was settled....I took a step back and bought a '86 CJ7, and this one's got a 304 V8.

Man, that really sucks about the YJ, but that CJ looks freakin sweet! What caused the fire?

There was no determination on the cause for the fire.

The "new" ride has an auto tranny, wasn't sure if I wanted to cross over to auto from manual, but like the '78 304 the previous owner put in, it had also been rebuilt! I am really enjoying the auto tranny! And the bored out 304 with comp cam and lifters, headers and flow master dual exhaust, it sounds so sweet. Only problems which are on my need to fix list, he didn't account for the change in steering for the 4" Rough Country lift and changing the gears to compensate for the 35" tires.

Just have to get use to the downsized gas tank, my YJ had a 20 gallon tank, this one has a 15, and YJ got 14 mpg, CJ gets 9 mpg! Visit the gas station every time I drive! Must be a Jeep!
