Name that part

So I have had too many different people disagreeing with what part this is. SO please good people set this straight and let me know if this is an immediate fix or something down the line.
Thanks

What are we looking at, specifically? Do you mean the ac compressor?

Yes. That's what I am hoping it it. As you can see, one of the pipes is broken. Immediate fix? or do I need to replace the entire compressor.

Well, that depends on whether you want your air conditioner to work.

how long has it been broken?
did it work fine before the line broke?
if too much dirt or moisture got in the system, you'll be replacing more than 1 line

It's the HIGH SIDE, (Pressure Side) of the AC cooling system. You can have that line replaced, system evacuated, recharged, then your system will be up and running.
PROVIDED that is there is nothing else wrong with the system.

I am not really sure. I bought this about 2 weeks ago. So to be on the safe side, I would have to say, probably been broken for a while. Would I have to replace the lines as well as the compressor itself?

Well I am not a big AC user. just as long as that wont interfere with the mechanics of the car.

If you are looking to get rid of the whole system, and if that is a 2.5, AND its 134a refrigerant... I'd be interested in taking it off your hands

When it's 105 degrees out and your sitting in Bowling Green traffic, AC is VERY nice to have instead of backing your brain cells in the sun.

Yes, North Fl in August traffic is no fun either. I don't live near the beach so theres no "sea breeze" to cool you off. I don't have A/C but it's on the to do list.

Besides, I'd rather sweat my butt off than drive a minivan!
