Angry Need a good place in ohio

I am looking to have some work on my 94 wrangler sahara done. Yeah it needs some work. figure I will start with the motor which needs seals replaced and such. I took it to a place to see about having everything done and they were gonna charge me 38,000 bucks. about coughed up a lung on that quote. 18,000 k to

so hopefully someone on this forum can point a girl to a place that doesnt think I am crazy.

That sounds like they were planning to do a full frame off restoration. That entails full disassembly removing everything down to a bare tub and removing it from the frame, removing all the drive train from the frame and then rebuild everything. If the body is in good shape and you are keeping it the original color, I would estimate $2K for the paint. This would entail removing the windshield, top, bumpers and all exterior fittings. The engine rebuild could vary in cost depending on what the tear down finds.

I need to get my Rubicon painted as there are several chips in the paint that go down to the metal and are rusting.

If the engine is running well, I would put that off and just get a good paint job done. Or if the paint is in fairly good condition, get the mechanical work done, at least that way you will have a good runnig Jeep.
