Under the Sun Inserts, lots of different styles to choose from. 5 minute install that looks great and is tough as nails.

I ran this one on my jeep for years and i loved it, it worked great for keeping mud out of the radiator (and bending cooling fins when i pressure washed it carelessly)

I bought one of these...

I'm glad I got one that isn't flush with the back of the grill. It would be much harder to wash all these Florida bugs out :-)

I had a "Bug Off" stainless steel cover on my CJ. How about making yer own from wire cloth? Something like this might do the trick........

you can make one yourself. go to lowes or home depot and buy some screen. buy some double sided stick tape, zip ties, and a can of spray paint. easy stuff.

Just be careful that it is not to constrictive. I had some screens on mine and on a hot day engine would get to warm. When I took them out no more issue.

Stupid question...what about access to the safety latch with grill inserts? I don’t care for the idea of losing it entirely, tho my kentrol stainless hold-downs seem to hold just fine, I prefer the extra safety at 70+mph

not stupid. it would be if you already put it on.
the copper wire cloth I suggested is thick enough to hold up yet easy enough to work with. lay it out and cut a notch for the latch. don't cut it out, cut it and fold it over on itself. that will reinforce the cut area. trim any loose ends so you don't get poked. you can dress up the cut out area with some windlace. the "cloth" cuts easy with tin snips. the windlace comes in different colors. you can get zip ties in colors too.
I use the same thing to cover the holes when I put hood scoops on and punch holes in the hood. keeps all kinds of crap out, and doesn't look bad.
