Need Help

I have a 1993 YJ with the 4.0L. I have a 3:8.1 Atlas II transfer case mated to a NV4500 transmission. I have the factory 3.07 rear end and I cannot hold speed in 5th gear which I believe to be 0.75. I am curious if anyone has any experience with this setup and can recommend the best front/rear gear ratio for me. The jeep has 3.5" under it with 32" tires. Any input would be helpful as this is my first jeep.

3.07 with 33's are rough, i would regear you'll see a noticeable increase in power

You can find a set of axles from a factory 4cyl wrangler. It will have 4.10 gears and put you about where you need to be.

I run an NV4500/Atlas 3.8 same as you.

But a 4.9 stroker and 5.13`s rolling on 37`s. 5th gear is great.

Put as much gear into the axles as you can. The 5th gear overdrive will become useful at freeway speeds.
