Need Input on CL Find

1998 Jeep Wrangler Rock Crawler

I know his link says 1998 when its a 1988. His older ad that he listed last week was correct. It is real close to my town. Making me think for some reason. Seems like he's moving and he dropped his price now a $1000 since last week's ad. What would all ya'll say is a real price. I would just want his axles to use on my SOA when I do it! Seem built. As well as other parts but.

Let me know
Thanks

That's a nice looking jeep. Avoid the ba10 if you could, but not too hard to swap out. I'm in the process now lol. Lock rite lockers aren't supposed to be used on the road if you plan on driving it anywhere...just a thought

Edit: and the mc2100 was a nice upgrade to help get it running smoother

Good input. Yea stil at least 60% of it is gonna be on road fun. I still want to keep my setup with all flex as possible. No sways or tracs. I need to just relax and build my girl up. Need to get my 4.10 axles from 4 cyl and get soa swap done.

Yeah those axles locked like that I don't think you'd wanna drive on the road it would be pretty harsh that's for sure. I'm not sure how hard it would be to pull the locker out, but I'm sure you could.

I have an Aussie locker in my D-30 and have no issues with it on road. It is very simular to the Lock Rite. The only time it is actually engaged is when I am in 4X4 with the vacuum lines activated. In the rear, you may notice is if making a sharp turn, but for normal driving, should not really make its presence known.

A lock right in the rear axle is far better than the front for SNOW driving on roads. On clean pavement you might get some feedback in turns or when shifting gears from the rear axle unit. For a front axle other than on snow roads, not trails(which make steering hard) you will not know its there unless you make a very tight turn at slow speed and you might hear some clicking as the teeth run past each other. That is it.
