Need some engine paint opinions

I'm pulling my engine soon to fix my clutch, figure while its out I'll give it a paint job..my plan was amc blue, but I'm not sure it will "go" with the rest of the jeep. The jeep is army theme so its OD green with all the white letters and star, the fire wall and underside of the hood is black bed liner and of course the frame is satin black. Any suggestions on a color that would look decent with this combo? Thanks in advance

My opinion, gray.
The color of a naval ship would stay with the military theme.
Again, just my thought.

I haven't painted my block, head, or valve cover yet but everything else is painted with spray can engine paint I got from my local auto and paint store. I used black but I think that's the gray might look pretty cool. Just keep it neutral, black, gray, white (not only white, it will be hard to keep clean), or even OD green would be cool. Maybe paint it different colors.

I like the battleship grey idea. White is too difficult to keep clean. Black is too difficult to see anything on.

Think of a high quality metal lathe or an engine on a ship.

Now that the idea is stuck in my head, if I ever have to pull my motor, I will paint it high gloss grey. Now that I'm thinking of it, if I ever repaint my Jeep, I'll paint the whole thing battleship grey, with an anchor on the doors and numbers on the hood.
U.S. Navy used Jeeps too. Talk about retro....

Good Luck, L.M.

I'm just wondering why you would pull an engine to fix a clutch ?
