New floor covering needed

Looking to replace worn, torn and missing carpet with something new. I see covering options in the catalogs: carpet, rubber, etc.
What would you recommend and more importantly, what do you not recommend.
Do the after market carpets sets fit as well as manufact. claim?

I drove my YJ with no carpets in for a while - holy hotfoot!

Personally, I prefer wash-able carpet... it won't last forever, but you can replace it. In all my recent jeeps (TJ Sport, TJ Rubicon, JKU Rubicon) I've had some sort of slush mat on top of carpets and am convinced that this is the best course for me.

Currently I've got husky liners in the front and back of my JK and couldn't be happier with them.

Spray-on truck bed liner has been working well for me.

I have a carpet kit from jc Whitney, re-cut it to make it a breeze to pull out and clean. I live and play on the beach so I always have sand everywhere. I don't run floor plugs, or mats on the carpet because my interior gets wet alot. I run carpet to keep our feet cool and the sand piles up, and I just pull it shake it out and hose or down.

If you are set on keeping a carpeted tub, get a bed rug. If you go onto their website you can find several places that sell them. They fit great and you can hose them off. But if you are open to getting rid of the carpet, I would recommend doing a bed liner. If you know how to donut yourself it can be pretty cheep compared to other things. But if you don't know how to do it yourself it can get expensive
