I have a hard top I need to paint. What is the proper way to do it? I want it to look good and last a long time.

I painted mine also. Started out as the spice color. I ordered some raptor liner and sprayed it. $100 for the raptor liner kit and a little change for the sand paper. Turned out great and it doesn't chip when tree branches and stuff drag across it. Great looking jeep!

Looks good, about like my black hard top. The complaint I have is HEAT! Maybe it wouldn't matter if I lived north. I'd have the AC going, with the AC vents aiming up at the hard top to cool it down, because it would be cool up to my chest, and warm from there up until I have it cooled down.

I am considering having it repainted as the body color so it matches. But that is after the fiat Euroland situation cocks up for GOOD. At that point, I can do anything I want; lengthen another LJ by 3-4 feet, do an upgrade to another motor/manual transmission/transfer case combo, and do a camper conversion on it.

I like the idea, I'll paint mine soon. From black to white and I'll do my doors also. White top and doors black tub.
