new rear axle to be installed w 4.10s, wont match front for a few weeks

So I am rebuilding a front Dana 30 w 4.10s in my garage, also having a ford 8.8 with 4.10s being installed next week.... I am still a few weeks off from finishing the front d30. Will it be ok to run the current front (3.73) and the new 8.8 (4.10) as long as I don't put it in 4wd? Or should I just remove the front drive shaft until I can get the new d30 in? Thanks

While you'd be ok as long as you didn't put it in 4wd, I'd probably remove the shaft just in case.

Might as well pull it. You won't need it and gonna have to remove it to do the front swap anyways
