hello, the carb on the pre 91 yj's was a pain. otherwise, look for rust, under carpet, both sides of rocker panels, windshield frame, and at the rear of the frame and body mounts for rot.

Cool thanks! what about the dash gauges, i know my bronco i used to have the voltage gauge was supposed to read around 14v or around there (only reason i know that was bc i had to replace the voltage regulator bc it was sending like 18v back to the battery and killing them) on the jeep when it was running i think but dont quote me that the gauge said pass 18v. If it was not 18v the gauge was maxed out thats all i know. O and a question about the soft tops the roof over the driver and front passenger was sagging atleast 6in bc it was full of water, is that something i should worry about having to replace soon or will it shrink back to normal?

voltage should not be that hi, right around 14 is right. the soft top should not hold water on top, the soft top frame has a bar on top that makes a peak right behind the drivers head, and water should run off. carpet missing is no big deal, most people pull it out, but probably means it was taken off road. it will make it colder in the winter time.
