Newbie here! Just bought a 92 wrangler.

Hello everyone,
I just came across a 92 wrangler through a friend. It has 124,000 miles, 4.0l, stick shift, the inner tube is rhino lined, stock wheels with stock tires(worn), steel wheels with 31's on them (4/32" tread left), 4" lift, hard top with full doors, soft top with half doors, and a bunch of spare parts. It has been sitting for a year, but it started up fine and runs great. I pick it up monday and Im looking forward to working on it. I payed $1200 for everything. The tub is alittle rough(rusty), the front brake lines need to be replaced, the rear gate is shot, front bumper is missing, and the left fender has holes by the marker light. Im planing to grind down all the rust, fix or patch the problem areas and roll on bedliner the tub. Then go through the brakes and put the thing on the road. I eventually want to buy 32's for it. You guys think I got a decent deal??? I look forward to everyones help and advice and being apart of the forum!!

Congrats on a great purchase! I have a 92 also, although mine has a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder. Welcome to the JEEP lifestyle!

In my opinion great deal.... You could put another 2.5k before you bust on it.. 3500 - 4000 is easy to get for a decent rig.

Welcome to the forums...

I figure the parts and extras alone could almost make up the $1200. I've heard hard tops go for 3 to $500. full doors @ $300 a set, half doors @ $200 a set, vinyl top should be worth $150 to $250. spare good tailgate @ $100, optima battery @ $100, and theres still alot more jeep to sell. The jeep was a everyday driver and never gave the previous owner any issues. He parked it because he found a great deal on a newer wrangler and was going to replace the tub on the one I bought and sell it for $5500. Well he got married, and had 2 kids so that never happened and now he just wants to get rid of it to get it out of his way. Hopefully its a great rig. I dont need a machine to nickle and dime me every week. I'd rather spend the money upgrading the wrangler then trying to keep it running!!

Good deal. I got my 92 with the same mileage for 3000. Came with a hard top, half soft doors, bikini top, and a couple other small extras.
