No More Jeep for me

wow, really having a hard time dealing with this one. Bought my yj a year and half or so ago and had plans for it. Medical issues along with some mechanical problems prevented me from doing the things I wanted to. More medical issues recently pretty much destroyed my hopes and dreams for my jeep. I can't even drive it.

Ended up in the hospital and now my heart is only functioning at 40%. My doctor yesterday told me maybe it's time to think about hospice. My body is falling apart, can't walk or extremely difficult to even get out of the chair.

It's time to get plans together for what will soon happen. I need to sell the jeep and its painful to even think about.

Your health is always more important than any jeep.

There are plenty of rebound jeeps around to be bought down the road with the hopes that your health improves.

Take care of yourself Cyblyn. I pray that you will be at peace with all of these sudden changes. I hope that one day you can get back to your YJ and get back to cursing the dreaded Torx Bolts, like the rest of us.

You're a relatively young guy. I hope things work out for you.

It's said that GOD only gives us what we can handle- HE must think you're a real badazz. Keep fighting.

I'm not normally big on prayers- but I will keep you in my thoughts. Hope you get well soon, as another poster said your health is far better than any jeep. Get well, you will find another jeep when you do.

I wish I had someone to talk to about all this. Sometimes I'm ok with it but then just break down and get really depressed. At times I am tired of fighting and at times it's all I've known all my life. When the doctors start talking hospice... I'm not sure what to think

Hey man, sorry to hear this.

I get the feeling alone part needing someone to talk to. It's super hard to believe that even a friend or family really understands what ur going through so sometimes that doesn't help.

If you like being online and talking (seems lie you do somewhat) Tell your doctor or the hospice person you want to find out about web sites/groups of people online who are in your situation. You can find these groups and have open honest communication with people. If you are ever reluctant to tell your people who depend on you if you feel upset you can talk about it online.

Might ask them about an implantable heart device. Cardiac Resynchronyzation Therapy (CRT) devices. I don't know the cause of your problem but it sounds like you have an ejection fraction of 40 percent.

Sending positive energy and prayers (take your pick...or both) you are not alone.

Try to keep your Jeep. I believe they bring happiness and lots of joy. You can still lie down in it and not go anywhere. Things will get better. Take it one day at time. I have had problems too. Next week I would like to buy a new jeep. Because they bring joy.. I buying one because life is too short to drive anything else.
