Off road or trail riding in Florida

Recently purchased a '91 YJ, manual 4.2 with a 1" shackle lift riding on Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's. My question is, does anybody have information on off roading or trail riding in Florida? Closer to Clearwater/ Tampa is better but open to options. Tks

Sounds like you're pretty close to me. I live in Clearwater. There's not much for trails here that I've found. If you go up 19 to 52 there's some stuff up there.

Even here in JAX there isn't much unless you like sand or mud.... No real trails. You have to get into GA or west toward Tallahasse to find decent trails. Most places that aren't flat and could be fun here are protected and just have bike trails.

Ocala has some stuff you can play on. No real rocks or anything, but some decent trails that mix up some mud, water, sand, and some off camber stuff. There is a place in Ocala called Hard Rock that is an ORV Park.

As far as Spring Hill goes, there are some places to ride. There are power lines, sand pits, mudholes, and a few places to flex.

You can go up 19 to Inglis. There is a place called Horse Hole up there that has put in some trails especially for Jeeps. I haven't been to the Jeep part of Horse Hole yet, but the rest is nice.

You can go to Richloam on SR50. It's east of Croom on SR50. It's a national park that has some trails. Mostly mud though.

As far as crawling and climbing, there isn't much in FL. We are a flat state. I live in Tampa and don't get to wheel too much. All of the places that were close to Tampa have been developed or recently closed due to people abusing the loose regulation of the property. If you ever wanna go to Spring Hill or Richloam or somewhere around there, let me know.
