Oh, previous owner....

How much would a ring connector have cost for a primary ground?

I don't think it was the cost.
What I hear most about shoddy repairs is "I was in a hurry".
Once they have the vehicle back running, they forget about repairing the shoddy work correctly (until it fails again, then they call the vehicle a piece of junk).

Most of us have had to repair PO's shoddy repairs. Most often it's electrical.

Good Luck, L.M.

If that's the first thing you've found, Get yourself a soldering kit, extra connectors and soldering supplies to have on hand so you don't have to do the, as Luckymac hinted, " I was in a hurry." repair. I have found that most electrical repairs were done consistently bad or consistently right.

Iím working my way through some basics. I have a steep learning curve on the engine, but Iím pretty good with 12V, so Iím putting in a number of solder butt connectors replacing sound and other connections I donít like. But PO but a 78 304 V8 in this 92 YJ, and didnít clean up the wiring. So thatís my mountain...

Get the wiring diagrams from the FSM to help you decipher what's what.
Look for the link in Got it at Last post above for FSM's
