I called a local junkyard today looking for parts. They are getting 90 cars in next week and a few of them are wranglers.

From what I understand, it`s also illegal as hell, the cash for clunkers turned in are NOT to resold at all. for parts or otherwise,
Don`t get me wrong, when I first heard of that cash for clunker deal the first thing I thought was dang, now would be a good time to sell cars, think of some the cars that are going to be turned in and what a guy could with them.
But of course, 7 of the top 10 cars turned in are ford exploders and who in their right mind would want of those pos anyways?

If it was a C4C trade in, the motor will be spray painted pink. If anything the rest of it will probably be fine.

Actually, it depends on the vehicle and junkyards that get them. They can be sold for scrap, or torn down for parts. The engine is the only thing that cannot be sold.

we already had a really long debate about this. the body and other things like interiors or tops can be sold for parts from salvage yards. but the drive trains are not allowed to be resold, and they seize the motors before sending them out of the dealerships.to make it impossible to reuse but it is a good time to check the yards for body parts

I had an old boy tell me that if you have a dealers license you can purchase the c4c wranglers straight from the dealership.
