Thanks! I am partial to YJs and CJs...I run the CJ in Jamborees and the Black YJ and Red YJ are actually just for snow plowing at my 2 business locations. They get put away for summer...the green Rio Grande I rebuilt from salvage, and is SPOTLESS. No rust anywhere. It sits in storage for winter, as does the CJ5. My wife's 97 TJ is a daily driver all year round...it is starting to show its age...sad to say, but it still runs like a top. Funny thing is...the most expensive one was the black YJ with plow...I paid more than I wanted, but knew the owner, and he was very anal about taking care of the rig. I paid $5000 for it. All the rest were $3000 or less...I love making sweet deals...lol...

haha I know what you mean. I payed $3500 for my YJ and got a sweet deal. I only paid $800 for my CJ though. She only needed the trans and transfer case rebuilt too. I spent more on my wheels and tires for the CJ than the actual price of the jeep...haha

$800!! Nice!! Now that is a buy, especially for a CJ5. I had looked at a 1980 CJ7 for $3500. New 258 engine, t176 tranny and rebuilt D300, but the frame was BAD and body was getting bad. Would have been decent to rebuild, but not for $3500 he wouldn't budge from. Plus, every time I swing a leg into a CJ, I need to feel that "S" shape opening when crawling out/in the seat...the CJ7 doen't give me that...feels like my YJ...need the 5 to remind me of the "S" opening...love the classic stuff.

My whole family has 8 if you count xj's and zj's Dad still has his 48' CJ 2A that he wheeled in the 60's. My brother has a 76' CJ7 his daughter has a 99 grand. I have a 93 YJ and 3 XJ's, and my bro-in-law has a CJ5. Wish I had pics of all of them.
