I'm probably up there, I didn't buy it new. It was 3, but I owned it as a DD through NW Ohio winters, un-garaged for 17 years.

I remember the day my pops drove home now my 1990 from dealership like it was yesterday. Had 6 miles on it. A couple years later I took my drivers test in it. Still have the original owners manual and both sets of keys!

Well I'm probably at the other end of this list. Bought my YJ 3 weeks ago. Far from a 1 owner car, this things been owned by everyone. Hell, go look in your photo album, you've probably owned this thing at one time.

Bought my 1989 Islander in early July, 1989, brand new! Bought a 2015 Sahara last October and am now "restoring" the '89. Don't plan to ever sell either.

Bought my '95 new, in August of that year. It's older now than I was when I bought it.

I won't win the longest owned, but I do have an interesting story on this Jeep.

'91 YJ I believe it's been in the family for at least 15 or 16 years. Was owned by my pop originally.

About 13 years ago, the YJ was stolen in Ensenada, MX. It was gone for close to a year when my pop was contacted by Policia in Santa Rosalia, which is about half way down the Baja Penninsula.

We had to drive down there and bribe the captain to get it back. Yeah, they really are corrupt.

Since then, it's been mostly stored. Just last year I decided to get it out of storage and start getting it repaired and start using it.

Fun little Jeep !!

Aha, I bought my 1988 brand new in the fall of 1988. It now has 77K miles and is totally original. I ordered it black with hard top, 4.2 6 cyl., tinted rear windows to keep the sun off my bird dogs, large 18 gallon gas tank, rear seat, and rugs. It is only used for hunting and fishing and is garaged all winter long so it has no real rust anywhere. I've been told that it was the last one with a carburetor. The Jeep runs great. I've put in a new clutch, and radiator and now have to replace the rear door paddle handle, but that's about it!
