If you're prepping and paint a jeep for $500 I wish I were closer would be more than happy to let you do mine. Me thinks you may have misread the op. but if not I'm sure you can get all the work you can handle for that price.

I guess 16 yr. olds don't get any breaks in Cali.
I would prep and paint the whole Jeep for 500$ (no body work).
Granted it might be a single stage paint job, but it wouldn't be a Maaco job.

I am a monster fan of the $50 Rustoleum rolled on paint job, it is amazing, and looks killer if you take the time. We did my buddy's Civic and people refuse to believe we did it with a roller. Have done 3 cars now, each looking better than the last, I am just about ready to do my YJ.

The most expensive single thing is if you don't have a high speed buffer. I got one from Harbor Freight for $25 that has worked swimmingly on the 3 cars we have done.

If I didn't know better I would say Cracked saw the $50 paint job thread with the guy that did his charger, it is the same color.

This is the guy I based my paint jobs on, he has a fantastic writeup:

Rickwrench, Alfa GTV, Falcon Squire, Corvair

If you want to try it and have questions PM me, I will offer any help I can.

To get it Done right at a body shop your going to be looking between $1500-3000 depending on current condition. If your on a budget I would say either the roll on paint others have talked about or look into getting it bedlined.
