Paint on hood (spider cracks)

Guys I searched but cant really find a
answer but my 05 paint job (black) looks great except the
hood it looks like a spider web.I assume this is from engine heat
let me know if this is correct. If I get a repaint will this fix it.Im the 2nd owner an have no clue of the history BTW 45000 miles.

Mine has the same issue...I'm pretty sure it's from heat since I know my 4.0 is always hot and there's no insulation on the bottom of the hood.

Same problem with my 2000 Wrangler. Someone told me that Clay Bar would take care of it though, but haven't tried it yet.

Repaint will get rid of it but you must sand to bare metal or they will show up again. And that can actually happen any where on a vehicle but usually shows up on the hood roof and trunk obviously places that see alot of heat. Hood usually is the worst. And some may say sand then prime and then paint but sometimes it still comes thru that's why I would sand to bare metal this way you do it once and done.
