Please Help - Trying to figure out what this Jeep is worth

Hello all, I have a 1993 Jeep Sahara that I need to sell and I have no idea what its worth. Here are the details:
Location - Boise, Idaho
1993 Jeep Sahara
51,294 Miles, spent the last 10 years in my uncles garage
Manual tranmission
4.0 engine
chrome bumpers, grill, running boards
winch, soft top (best top)
super cool wooden steering wheel
color is forest green, really looks great, wish I could figure out how to post pictures on this website, I'm somewhat challenged I suppose.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated, any more information I may need please let me know, my first post so please be kind.

Best,
Bret

Might be worth $10,000 to the right person if it's as clean as it seems from the description. 1991-1995 are the best years of the YJ and it has the most desirable engine/trans option. Since it has been garage kept and the miles are low i am assuming it is rust free.

Thanks for all the input, yes runs great, no issues, no leaks, very clean. No rust, very arid here in Boise. I checked Kelly Blue Book not really consistent with what I see on the open market, that's what led me here.

I really appreciate all of your feed back. I would love to post a picture, any one got advice on how to do that?

Bite your Tongue, While the 91-95 may be the most desirable, 94-95 even better yet, don't discount us older drivers of 87-90. LOL

Having lived in Montana for about 18 years, I know that arid means a lot of moisture and rust. 10 years sitting in a garage will rot rubber, pit aluminum and rust steel. But I hope to be proved wrong.

My 2004 seats, rear d44, stereo, heat, and ac are WAY WAY WAY better than my 94... lol

OP... depending on condition and options the value will probably range from about 4k to 8k

Just look at others for sale in your area and price accordingly.

Not the the ‘99 AX-15 that I was specifically referring to in Joe’s (Got it at last) YJ.

That is why I stated “with ‘94-‘95” (a reference to his now external slave), and “or even later” (a specific reference to the ‘99 AX-15 he now has).

You would probably have to follow along the other threads that he started and you would have understood my specific reference.

Start looking on Craigslist to see what they sell for in your area. Compare with Kelly blue book. Sell for a reasonable price in that range and it’ll go quickly. I just bought a rubicon and I’m seeing sports selling for the same price now. It’s all relative best I can tell.

Well i just meant the TJ AX15's are not any better than the YJ AX15's. Asian started building the AX15HD the same year Jeep switched to the NV3550. It would have been nice to see TJ's get the AX15HD from the factory but that sadly did not happen.

And since the TJ used low pinion front axle the YJ wins even though it came with smaller u joints but those are easily swapped out for chromoly shafts with bigger joints anyways.

TJ NP231 had a 4 planet planetary set vs the YJ's 3 planet so TJ is slightly better stock.

I was never a fan of jeep hybrid jeep D44's that was just a D44 center with small thin tubes and D30/35 outers. Years ago i was trying to find one out of a TJ and everyone wanted a premium for them that i was not willing to pay. If they would have been built with bigger tubes maybe i would have.

Despite the TJ having better suspension i still think the 1991-1995 YJ's were the best jeep ever made. That is not saying much because there is still a lot of room for improvement but they were pretty solidly built as far as barbie jeeps go.

Personally I absolutely love both of them

Funny truth though YJ Transmissions got better as time went on but TJ Transmissions got worse as time went on

I definitely agree with the ‘91-‘95 perspective you have. Great Jeeps when done up right. The YJ I have now is very similar to the original ‘Keeper’ I had, and certainly one of my favorite. After I installed the 44 in the rear and doubled the planetary count in the 231, I felt a lot better about wheeling this one hard.

Most of the other 10-12 ‘87-‘95 YJ’s I have owned never made me giddy, but I am fairly particular.

I liked my TJ’s a lot, but not as much as my dinosaur YJ, leaf sprung and all.

The Sahara package is quite popular and sells higher. You have a very nice looking YJ there.

I was dead wrong in my assumption.

You should not have any problem selling that for top $$, start high and hold onto it for a few days before taking 1st offer. Unless you want to sell it cheap, I'll be on a plane tomorrow.....

So what is fair for this Jeep?

I know it depends on the area, I have been searching Craigslist, not many here so hard to gauge. Whats high? what's low? Maybe start at $10,000 then go from there?

if you start high you can always lower your price but if you start low and it sells in 5 minutes you're done
