Random tube hanging from the bottom of my Jeep

Hey so I have this random tube hanging from the bottom of my car, and I can’t find where it plugs into

First of all ...Jeeps don't like to be called cars and if yours sees this post it surely will not start the next time you attempt to drive it.

Where does the other end of the hose go to?

That’s the differential vent tube for your car. You should be able to find the hole very near. Just tap it back in.

Not sure....looks like you are at the front of the Jeep...have you tried pulling on it and then move it all around to see any place it reach where it might go? It looks dry and not wet like its for some kind of fluid.

Feel around on top of the diff, towards the passenger side, behind the diff cover.

Them plastic axle vent barbs shrink over time and fall out. You can get a new one from the dealer for about $10 which is way to expensive for a piece of plastic that will eventually shrink and fall out again.

I bought a brass barb and turned the threads off it and got it to the size to be a tight press fit into the hole in the diff. The brass barb was about $5 at the auto parts store and will never fall out again.




this picture is where the tube hooks there is a hole the plastic piece slides into but it wont stay there because it is old and needs replaced.
