Returning to stock body mounts

Hi all,

I recently bought a 94 YJ SE and it came with a 3-3.5” body lift. The guy I bought it from didn’t install it or know much about it. I want to return the body mounts to the stock height with new hardware. What other components do I need to also reverse? Steering rack, gas filler neck, and what else?

Assuming it was done correctly, (and we never assume anything done correctly by PO's) You will need to return (raise) the radiator to its stock position (usually a drop is included with the lift, You will need to replace the pitman arm with stock offset (Needed to bring the drag link back in line). You may want to check your brake lines, If extensions we're installed they may need to be routed so as not to get kinked or replace them with the correct length for stock. Hopefully I caught everything, But to make sure, If you know the manufacturer of the lift you can pull the installation instructions of the internet and reverse any other instructions that modify from stock.

Pitman arm is in no way involved in a body lift!

Download instructions for a 3" body lift (no such thing as 3 1/2) and work backwards....
Let's see a pic of your body mounts/ lift
