Round LED tail lights

Just wondering if anybody has pics with round led tail lights. Interested in doing this to my yj, but I'd like to see how they look on others. And the difficulty to install. Thanks

I haven't done it yet but planning on it. I do know that you will need to get a resistor or something to wire in because LEDs draw so little voltage your jeep will think the buld is blown and they won't work.

I did it a few weeks ago. Looks really nice. Depending on the price you want to go, its up to you. I got my 4" LEDS from Walmart for like 9 $ a piece. After taking the old lights out, my wires look like they were rednecked in there. So my installation took a bit longer. Remember that when you do this , you will still need a sidemarker red light, reverse white lights and license plate light. mine doesnt have the plate lights yet, but its not to hard to install. Message me if you want more details.

its easy man. i got the same ones from walmart. i didnt have to do anything with a resistor just wired em straight up. i also dont have a reverse light but the leds are bright enough to see to back up. youll need a jigsaw or a 4 in hole saw to cut out the hole.

I went with some oval surface mount LED tails to be a little different.

Newest picture of mine, no back up lights. But I do have Lite N Boltz for the license plate that are awesome! Also, when cutting the hole with a hole bit, make sure it is 4.5" you have to compensate for the grommet.

I just found the exact version of my lights at work in a new form, smoked. They'd go great so I might be picking those up It's an awesome mod!

Also, I'm ashamed of my stickers on there . I wonder how I'll get them off my vinyl window lol.

You can definitely get all these lights from O'reillys or Walmart. Any style. Even the smaller white ones for backup lights. Genright lights are more for mallcrawlers with no risk of breaking on a trail IMHO. The walmart ones have 10 LED lights on them, and they are seriously bright as hell. ALOT cheaper too. Which allows for more money to do more mods :-)

I just purchased and installed a set of 4" tail lights and a set of 2" white leds to use as back ups. Got 'em from superbrightleds.com.

Oh, mine are Maxxima 44 LED lights. You can get them at any truck stop or major truck dealership. I work at Kenworth so I get them on the cheap I believe $12 bucks a piece. Anyone will work no need to pay for expensive lights from a company for even $50+
