Rust and how to prevent it

Hey guys,

I'm just curious as to what you guys do about rust prevention. I live in Cleveland, Ohio, so the salt on the roads tends to eat up jeeps pretty quick. With only 56k miles on it, mines not really lookin' to bad rust wise. I've got a few spots, but those are being dealt with.

For example, I undercoated my jeep.

What do you guys do in terms of rust prevention?

I live in the PA snow belt...I know all about the salt. I have sanded stuff down and then used POR 15, then, use this to top coat with any paint you like. Some people say you can't top coat POR 15, but it works when you use their Tie-Coat primer. It all breaks down to trial and error.

I have had good luck with POR 15 and Bill Hirsh Automotive products. Their Miracle Paint is good and so is the Chassis paint to prevent rust.
